Thai-born Chef Chai Chaowasaree is an award-winning chef and restaurateur, widely recognized by top food critics and national travel publications as one of the best chefs in the Islands. You’ll find him creating flavorful Pan-Asian dishes using only the freshest ingredients at his signature Honolulu restaurants Singha Thai Cuisine and Chef Chai at Pacifica.
Hawaiian Airlines’ guests can experience his exquisite creations at cruising altitude. Chef Chai creates our in-flight meal program for First Class and Coach Class passengers.

Hawaiian Airlines’ meals are “all natural” with no preservatives and have eco-friendly packaging (excluding sandwich option). We do not add MSG in any of our recipes. However, there is a possibility that MSG is in the pre-made sauces that we purchase and use in our meals.
We do not provide special meals upon request (eg. to meet dietary restrictions). If our complimentary meals do not meet your dietary needs, you are welcome to bring your own meals on board.
We know that children have smaller appetites and often simpler tastes. We’ve got it covered.
Child meals are available on most international flights (excluding Pago Pago and Papeete) for our young guests 2 to 11 years of age.
If you would like to request a child’s meal for your flight, please provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice prior to scheduled departure by calling Hawaiian Airlines Reservations department or our General Sales Agents. Child meals cannot be requested at the airport during check-in.
